Entry 3
Meditated for about 15 minutes. Got the hang of it at last after a long period of not meditating (review). Remembered how to do it right, saw a few things, then got startled out of it.
Entry 4
I remembered something I saw months ago. A series of arched corridors encircling a hall with a throne, all made up of ice or crystal.
Entry 5
Saw this months ago also. A sort of a magician’s workshop with all sorts of clutter. And with someone scary that arrived after me.

Amor Sui Usque Ad Contemptum Sui
I’m sick and tired of being indecisive. I don’t know how many times I’ve said this before, but today I feel it more than ever. I even want to disagree with my “tame” astrological attributes. I want to be aggressive. I want to be productive. I want to shut out that part of me that thinks too much.
What I’m going to do first is to stop reading about myself (or about things pertaining to my particular sign or whatever). I think I’m unconsciously incorporating those attributes, and burying my true self/nature. Amor sui usque ad contemptum sui.

Forced Hibernation
12noon
Sheesh. Everything in the environment is telling me to sleep despite my mind’s objections. I really don’t want to sleep, but I suddenly felt tired, even though the weather was good. Then the rains came, and I felt more tired. It’s like forced hibernation. Damn.

Hen na Yume
An amazing thing happened to me last week. It started like this:
I was playing Da Vinci’s Secret when I saw The Lady With An Ermine. It was my first time to see an ermine, or, in other words, a stoat. It wasn’t eye-catching enough for me, however, and I played on.
A night later, I dreamt of an animal running towards me, a black ermine with white spots (or a white ermine with black spots, you never know with these two). It was wet, and I tried to catch it with one of my friends. When we caught it, I gave it a bath. After that, its coat turned light brown, and I think it officially became my pet.
Now when I woke up I found it necessary to research the animal. I’ve learned in the past not to ignore my dreams, and a color-changing ermine was definitely weird. Here’s what I found out about it that’s weirder:
• The stoat's coat is a rich medium brown with an off-white belly. In winter, the coat is thicker and in regions that experience an inch or more of snow for at least forty days of the year (such as in Armenia[2]), the color changes to white. This white fur is known as "ermine", a term originating either from the Latin phrase "Armenius mūs" ("Armenian mouse")[3] or from a word common to the Germanic and Baltic languages,[4] hence the scientific name. At this stage, where the animal is known as a "stoat", it may be referred to as ermine, or as being "in ermine". The winter ermine has been used in art as a symbol of purity or virginity. The white fur was highly prized, and used in the robes of the Lord Chief Justice of England. The furs would be sewn together making a pattern of black dots. A version of this pattern is used in heraldry as ermine tincture. Both the animal and the heraldic tincture are symbols of Brittany.
Also, I found a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I with a white ermine with black spots on her arm.
Is that weird or what? How could I possibly know about an animal that I’ve only seen once in a video game?

Hypocrisy In Action
The path to enlightenment is rough. The more I try to do things right, the more I do it wrong. In my effort to reach my ideals, I end up disregarding reality and the environment I live in, with the people around it. A ladder built with such mediocrity could only lead down as it crumbles when stepped upon.
Eliphas Levi
Regarding my study of the Mysteries of the Universe, I will be posting a few notes every now and then from selected websites to share what I am currently reading. Here’s the first from Wikipedia.
Eliphas Levi:
Definition of Magic
Levi's works are filled with various definitions for "Magic" and the "Magician":
Magic
• "To practice magic is to be a quack; to know magic is to be a sage."-from The Threshold of Magical Science
• "Magic is the divinity of man achieved in union with faith..."-TMS
Magician
• "He looks on the wicked as invalids whom one must pity and cure; the world, with its errors and vices, is to him God's hospital, and he wishes to serve in it."-KoM
• "They are without fears and without desires, dominated by no falsehood, sharing no error, loving without illusion, suffering without impatience, reposing in the quietude of eternal thought..... a Magus cannot be ignorant, for magic implies superiority, mastership, majority, and majority signifies emancipation by knowledge. The Magus welcomes pleasure, accepts wealth, deserves honour, but is never the slave of one of them; he knows how to be poor, to abstain, and to suffer; he endures oblivion willingly because he is lord of his own happiness, and expects or fears nothing from the caprice of fortune. He can love without being beloved; he can create imperishable treasures, and exalt himself above the level of honours or the prizes of the lottery. He possesses that which he seeks, namely, profound peace. He regrets nothing which must end, but remembers with satisfaction that he has met with good in all. His hope is a certitude, for he knows that good is eternal and evil transitory. He enjoys solitude, but does not fly the society of man; he is a child with children, joyous with the young, staid with the old, patient with the foolish, happy with the wise. He smiles with all who smile, and mourns with all who weep; applauding strength, he is yet indulgent to weakness; offending no one, he has himself no need to pardon, for he never thinks himself offended; he pities those who misconcieve him, and seeks an opportunity to serve them; by the force of kindness only does he avenge himself on the ungrateful..."-TMS
• "Judge not; speak hardly at all; love and act."-KoM
Theory of magic
Levi identified three fundamental principles of magic:[3]
1. That the material universe is only a small part of total reality, which includes many other planes and modes of consciousness. Full knowledge and full power in the universe are only attainable through awareness of these other aspects of reality. One of the most important of these levels or aspects of reality is the "astral light", a cosmic fluid which may be molded by will into physical forms.
o "One can only define the unknown by its supposed and supposable relations with the known."-from The Key of the Mysteries
o "The divine ideal of the ancient world made the civilization which came to an end, and one must not despair of seeing the god of our barbarous fathers become the devil of our more enlightened children."-KoM
2. That human willpower is a real force, capable of achieving absolutely anything, from the mundane to the miraculous.
o AXIOM 1:"Nothing can resist the will of man when he knows what is true and wills what is good."
o AXIOM 9:"The will of a just man is the Will of God Himself and the Law of Nature."
o AXIOM 20:"A chain of iron is less difficult to break than a chain of flowers."
o AXIOM 21:"Succeed in not fearing the lion, and the lion will fear YOU. Say to suffering, 'I will that you shall become a pleasure,' and it will prove to be such-- and even more than a pleasure, it will be a blessing."
3. That the human being is a microcosm, a miniature of the macrocosmic universe, and the two are fundamentally linked. Causes set in motion on one level may equally have effects on another.
o "Man is the God of the world, and God is the man of Heaven."-KoM

YATTA!
Yatta!!!
Now that school is over, I am looking forward to writing stories again. It’s been roughly two years since I stopped writing seriously because of my studies and frankly, those two years were the hardest in my life. I felt like banging my head on the desk everyday. Two weeks ago it was officially over and I caught a train to ‘Board Limbo’ where I would try to revive my stories.
It’s not easy, though. Although I didn’t have the chance to write it all down, the story has greatly progressed in my mind and I’ve forgotten how Who became This or That. Guess I’ll have to dig deeper in my subconscious to solve this problem.
OK, so much for that. Christmas is coming and most people are excited. I hope you belong to this group. It’s a very special occasion and although there are many disputes over it (true date, originally pagan, whatever), what’s important is what we do as people, as compassionate human beings, as forgiving human beings, on this season, regardless of our financial situations (remember Ondoy and Pepeng?).
